Challenge #6:
A picture of one of your favorite memories.
What an exercise it is to sift through the vast supply of memories for favorites! Oh, I have plenty, but most of them were not captured with a camera. Imagine that!
• my climbing tree, place of retreat and recreation • misty moonlit lampposts and fallen pears lining the brick path on honeymoon night • bicycle riding with abandon • bundled up in bed with my mom on a literally freezing college night • speechless tourist under a gorgeous, marbled sky • six very different birthing experiences • laughing over old letters with siblings • etc • etc • etc •
Yes, I turned my mind loose to receive the random collection of memories, and I smiled at how readily they reappeared.
I thought I had settled on an idea for this week's challenge, but I received an email from a dear friend that changed my direction altogether. I have not found the picture that I wanted most, so a couple of subs will have to suffice.
Gary. London bartender. Impromptu birthday tour guide.
Memory maker. Friend.
Memory maker. Friend.
(I just learned that he is very sick, so he's going to be my challenge choice this week.) ;-(
My days in London with him and with our friend, Sandy, were filled with favorite memories, indeed. His three trips to the US, including one for my wedding, yielded even more for fodder for reminiscing.
A couple of shots of the trio in London until I can find my favorite:

I just love the quotes, my friend. What a special time. It's amazing how deep travel memories go. I cherish all of mine. I hope I never run out of 'memory room' for more. :-)
ReplyDeleteSo fun, Kev! Reminds me of dear Ann, of course. Great quotes as well! :o)
