Exposure: Week Twelve

A picture of a home that is or was significant to you.

So they all went away from the little log house. The shutters were over the windows, so the little house could not see them go. It stayed there inside the log fence, behind the two big oak trees that in the summertime had made green roofs for Mary and Laura to play under.
~Laura Ingalls Wilder

In this home we . . .

learned ~ things about ourselves things about each other things about our Father things about His world ~ school things cool things things that make you drool things

sang ~ old songs new songs more than just a few songs ~ favorites like How Deep the Father's Love and When I Survey

sat ~ in a circle ~ always in a circle ~ round and round with recitation and discussion and more until young eyes glassed over ~ our cue to break up the circle until the next week

played ~ power base and football and frisbee and volleyball and power base and power base and power base ~ until Katie told Mrs. Angelle that they did not play anymore ~ do you really outgrow playing???

loved ~ *sigh* ~ we miss you all

Heartfelt thanks to our dear friends for a decade of precious hospitality!
