Yes, it rained.
No, our merry little band was not intact.
Yes, we postponed trying out the vertical playpen.
No, we didn't stay overnight.

However -- we had each other's company, and that was wonderful.

So, we played football,
and we paddled around in canoes,
and we cooked and ate under the shelter,
and we visited around the fire until it was time to go.

How precious you are, my beloved friends! Thanks for being a part of my history, my fabric, my heart.
