Downtown

Run/walks for my daughter have always translated into snapshot time for me, and because of that, the annual St. Jude Run for the Children is my favorite among those races. The start/finish line is only a stone's throw from the Mississippi River and the Old State Capitol, and this year I was particularly interested in seeing the river because of its swollen banks.

Unlike other race mornings, this time I brought along a little shadow, and the two of us ventured toward the water . . .

When the river is deepest
it makes least noise.

  2. Man, what a tour - I love it!! It makes me want to head your direction, for sure. The feel of the south just washed over me... *sigh*
