Yeats

Those that I fight I do not hate,
those that I guard I do not love.

Too long a sacrifice can make a stone of the heart.

All empty souls tend toward extreme opinions.

Joy is of the will which labours,
which overcomes obstacles,
which knows triumph.

How can we know the dancer from the dance?

Do not wait to strike till the iron is hot;
but make it hot by striking.

A pity beyond all telling is hid in the heart of love.

Every conquering temptation represents a new fund of moral energy.
Every trial endured and weathered in the right spirit
makes a soul nobler and stronger than it was before.

But I, being poor, have only my dreams.
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
tread softly, because you tread on my dreams.
